The purpose of data processing is to use  the text files to analyze user behavior when visiting the website and then use them for targeted  product recommendations and interest-based advertising. The remarketing cookies used are valid  for a maximum of 60 days after your last visit. Please note that this period begins again when you  visit our website again. In this case, Google will only  display general advertising that has not been selected based on the information collected about  you. You can find further information about this in Google's information on data usage and privacy  policy.
2.9.3 Facebook Custom Audience and Facebook Connect For marketing purposes
Our websites also use so-called conversion and retargeting tags (also  “Facebook pixels”) from the social network Facebook, a service provided for users outside the  USA and Canada by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour,  Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”) and for all other users by Facebook Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo  Park, California 94025, USA (“Facebook”). We use Facebook pixels to analyze the general use of  our websites and to understand the effectiveness of Facebook advertising (“conversion”). We also  use Facebook pixels to show you individualized advertising messages based on your interests in  our products (“retargeting”). To do this, Facebook processes data that the service receives via  cookies, The data generated in this context can be transferred by Facebook to a server in the USA for  evaluation and stored there. If you are a member of Facebook and have allowed Facebook to do so via the privacy settings of  your account, Facebook can also link the information collected about your visit to us with your  member account and use it for the targeted placement of Facebook ads. You can view and  change the privacy settings of your Facebook profile at any time. If you are not a Facebook  member, you can prevent data processing by Facebook by confirming the deactivation switch for  the provider “Facebook” on the aforementioned TrustArc website. If you deactivate data  processing by Facebook, Facebook will only display general Facebook ads that are not selected  based on the information collected about you. You can find further information about this in Facebook’s data protection information.
2.9.4 LinkedIn
Our website uses the technology of the provider LinkedIn Inc., 2029 Stierlin Ct. Ste. 200 Mountain  View, California 94043, USA (“LinkedIn”). With the help of so-called conversion tracking  technology, you can be shown advertising based on your interests. We also receive ad activity  from LinkedIn based on your interaction with our website. For this purpose, a LinkedIn Insight tag  is integrated into our website. This insight tag provides insights into post-click and view-through  conversions of our LinkedIn ad campaigns. LinkedIn Insight tag enables the collection of data about visits to the website (URL, referrer URL,  IP address, device and browser properties, timestamp). The IP addresses are shortened or  hashed if they are used to reach members across devices. You can find further information about this in LinkedIn’s data protection information.
2.9.5 Outbrain
Our website uses the technology of the provider Outbrain UK Ltd., 5 New Bridge Street, London,  EC4V 6JA, UK (“Outbrain”), which allows our users to access further content within our website  and on third-party websites that may also be of interest to them be pointed out. The additional reading recommendations integrated by Outbrain, for example below an article, are determined  based on the content the user has read so far. To display this interest-based additional content,  Outbrain uses cookies that are stored on the user's device. The content displayed in the Outbrain  widget is automatically controlled and delivered by Outbrain in terms of content and technology. Outbrain uses a cookie to create a unique user identifier, a UUID (Unique User Identifier). The  UUID represents a sequence of numbers and/or letters. Article recommendations are based on: (i)  browsing history; (ii) similar browsing patterns of other users; (ii) recommendations that are  popular with Outbrain's recipients at the time; (iv) a certain degree of randomness and (v) target  requirements from Outbrain's customers. To do this, Outbrain collects the following data in addition to a UUID: (i) IP address (is anonymized  according to industry standards); (ii) User agent data: device type (e.g. iPhone), browser type (e.g.  Chrome), operating system (e.g. iOS); (iii) the pages visited; (iv) the time of the visit and (v) the  referring URLs and other information normally transmitted in HTTP requests. The UUID is tied to your device and varies depending on the browser you use. In other words,  Outbrain collects different UUIDs depending on which device and/or browser you use to access  the partner's websites. This means, for example, that you have one UUID when you visit a partner  website from your mobile phone using the Safari browser, and a different UUID when you visit a  partner website from your iPad using the Safari browser. Outbrain combines and consolidates a  UUID from a mobile device (handheld device or tablet) from a browser, which then accesses an  application (or vice versa) from the same device. By assigning a UUID, Outbrain can combine the  pages visited and the clicks on Outbrain's recommendations from that UUID, all to provide  interesting recommendations. Outbrain displays reading recommendations using cookies on a  purely pseudonymous basis. To pseudonymize the IP address, the last part of the IP address is  removed. You can prevent the use of cookies by setting your browser accordingly (see above) or by  objecting on the Outbrain website. Further information can be found in Outbrain's data protection information.
2.9.6 Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads)
Our website uses Microsoft Advertising, a service provided by Microsoft Corporation, One  Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA (“Microsoft”). The data generated in this context can be transferred by Microsoft to a server in the  USA for evaluation and stored there. In addition to revoking your consent, you also have the option to deactivate personalized ads in  Microsoft Advertising or the ad settings in your Microsoft account. The following cookies are set by Microsoft Advertising for the specified purpose with the  respective storage period: “_uetsid” for 24 hours (session ID; collects data on visitor behavior across multiple websites to  present more relevant advertising - This also allows the website to limit the number of times the  same advertisement is displayed); “_uetvid” for 16 days (visitor detection and usage analysis to present relevant advertising based  on the visitor's preferences); “MUID” for 1 year (Widely used by Microsoft as a unique user ID. The cookie enables user  tracking by synchronizing the ID across many Microsoft domains with the aim of visitor  recognition, usage analysis, and the delivery of personalized advertising). The following information in local storage is stored by Microsoft Advertising: “_uetsid” and “_uetvid” (same purposes as the corresponding cookies);“_uetsid_exp” and “_uetvid_exp” (information about the expiry date of cookies). For more information, see the Microsoft Advertising help pages and Microsoft's privacy policy.
